Software ‘card’ application replacing plastic cards

We have developed a software application, replacing plastic cards in on-line transactions.
On-line cards are personalized on client computers in a straightforward on-line ‘card issuance’ procedure after they have been downloaded. ON-LINE CARD™ / ON-LINE ID™ application implements advanced encryption technologies and best security practices available in it’s interactions with the servers of our service. Later on the cards can be used by clients on participating web-sites for for identification, authentication or payments. Software card and Service provide additional convenience to cardholder, because they implement straightforward on-line self-service procedures of card issuance, re-issuance, suspension, unblocking, dispute resolution and cancellation in an economic way.

Businesses can issue software cards to their clients through our Service and manage their Private Label card programs through ‘On-demand’ web-interfaces. Issuers can admit other businesses as ‘Merchants’ or ‘digital ID consumers’ to their card program.

Software ID card for 'Protected log-ins' instead of sign-up/log-in/password

As long as the software card has been issued to a client he can use it as a digital ID on participating web-sites. ‘Protected Log-in’ is a multi-factor authentication/identification business-process that can be used on a web-site instead of conventional sign-up and log-in/password authentication procedures. Client presents a web-site with security token that can be validated locally or through API’s, depending on the model of interaction, chosen by digital ID consumer (Issuer or his ‘Merchant’). Participating web-sites don’t need to establish a ‘Sign-Up’ procedure of their own; rather they can use common digital identity of a client within a ‘federation’, established in the Service. Issuer can manage all aspects of trust relationship with his cardholders in real-time. However, the client retains full control over his personal data and grants access to it only to the entities he trusts.

PIN-based secure transactions and CRM for dispute resolution

Every ON-LINE CARD™ has a value account associated with digital identity of a client. Accounts are denominated in ‘currency’, chosen by the Issuer of card. Issuer or Merchants participating in his card program may request payments from the value accounts, however the payment is committed only if the client authorizes it by entering his PIN by the clicks of a mouse on a pin-pad (pull-push transaction), hence the card number is not secret. PIN is issued to cardholder along with other secrets at the moment of card issuance. The PIN and PIN handling procedures have all necessary qualities, required for non-repudiable transactions; hence, the value accounts can be used for sales of purely virtual objects: software activation codes, digital objects etc. Value accounts can also be used in affiliate/loyalty/bonus/rebate programs for distribution of value to participants.
Client is provided with authenticated access to secure ‘Statement’ web-site of reports. Transactions can be disputed through embedded Customer Resource Management (CRM) sub-system embedded into the Service. CRM messages are tied to transactions.
