Provided that a premium web-site uses ON-LINE CARD(sm) service for client authentication and/or payments, new customers can be acquired through ‘On-the-fly’ issuance of virtual card during the first access or payment attempt. Promo-card may bear value or be a pure digital ID card with no value. Card issuance does not interrupt the access or payment business-process; moreover, the value from newly issued promo-card can be used for attempted payment if it is sufficient. This mechanism can be used as an alternative to ‘free trial’ period or similar methods, stimulating consumption.
Promo-card option can be configured by Issuer through administration interfaces, switched on during promotional campaigns and off after their end.
