Scratch-card for payments and access to your site

Pre-paid physical or virtual membership/gift/scratch card can be used as ‘digital ID’ instead of Sign-Up/log-in. ON-LINE CARD(sm) service provides businesses with necessary tools for that. These capabilities can be used by simple integration with our web-service through API’s described on this web-site. Businesses can issue physical or virtual cards to their clients with the help of our Service, process them on a web-site and manage their Private Label card programs through ‘On-demand’ web-interfaces. Issuers can admit other businesses as ‘Merchants’ or ‘digital ID consumers’ to their card program.

Membership card or scratch-card for access to your web-site

In many cases physical membership card, gift/scratch-card or purely virtual ‘card’ is more relevant for authenticated access and micro-payments than a sign-up and subscription requiring a valid credit card. Pre-paid card data is used by a new client during his first access or payment to the premium web-site along with his valid e-mail. Client digital ID (key) is stored in a ‘cookie’ on his personal computer and provides seamless access and payments until it expires or the card value is completely used. If the same card is used for access or payments from a public computer the digital ID is not stored on it. Verification and recovery procedures use e-mail as a true identity of the client and provide overall level of security sufficient for most web-based services and applications.

‘On-the-fly’ customer acquisition with a promo-card mechanism

Provided that a premium web-site uses ON-LINE CARD(sm) service for client authentication and/or payments, new customers can be acquired through ‘On-the-fly’ issuance of virtual card during the first access or payment attempt. Promo-card may bear value or be a pure digital ID card with no value. Card issuance does not interrupt the access or payment business-process; moreover, the value from newly issued promo-card can be used for attempted payment if it is sufficient. This mechanism can be used as an alternative to ‘free trial’ period or similar methods, stimulating consumption.
Promo-card option can be configured by Issuer through administration interfaces, switched on during promotional campaigns and off after their end.

Seamless web-based micro payments

Recurring authentications and payments from a scratch-card are seamless. Although the client is temporarily redirected to web-pages (URL’s) of the service none of them are displayed in his browser unless his ID has expired or value on card is insufficient for requested payment transaction. In the latter cases client is requested to enter the new card data. If the entered data is correct his ID validity period is extended, face value of the new card is added to the balance of his old card and transaction is continued.
This option is particularly useful for digital media distribution requiring multiple instant low value purchase transactions streamlined with instant delivery.

Customer profile rollover when the card has been completely used

As it was mentioned, we consider an e-mail of a client to be his true identity. Hence a unique e-mail is associated with only one value account, created when the first card of particular issuer is used the first time. Subsequent cards, produced by the e-mail owner, add value to the same account and do not change his digital identification number. This ensures a correct client profile ‘rollover’ when he starts using new cards and minimizes the probability of value loss; unused balance of old card is appended to the balance of new one.

'On-demand' service for Issuers and Merchants

ON-LINE CARD(sm) is a standalone digital identity management and transaction processing service. Issuer can manage all aspects of trust relationship with his cardholders in real-time. However, the client retains full control over his personal data and grants access to it only to the entities he trusts.
